  • you grabbed my neck and said "mom, i was hugging"
  • you say "outside, fishing"
  • you will repeat after me "night night, sweet dreams, love you" every night before i leave the room.
  • you hate bathing
  • you hate having your hair combed
  • one morning when i walked into the room, you said, "morning."
  • you say, "hello everybody"
  • we haven't been trying to hard with the potty training (no stress) but you sat on your little potty one day and said "nope, not working"
  • you say, "hello, are you there," "what are you doing," "morning"
  • we went to the aquarium for your bday with meme and papa. it was dad's birthday

beckett took this picture of daddy.

  • you announced to the family via video message that "it's a girl!"

28 months. (august)
  • one morning you and i lied in the guest room until ten o'clock in the morning. it was amazing.
  • you were using a glass like a camera and would say smile and make a clicking sound
  • how you love to just wear your helmet for no reason
  • on the 17th of august, you slept for the first time with no pacifier. when i put you to bed, i told you we must have lost them when you asked for one. i got you out of bed and we looked and looked for them but we couldn't find them. i told you that it was time to go to sleep and the next day we would go on a treasure hunt to try and find them. i put you back and in bed. you cried for just a minute and then fell asleep. i thought to myself, "no way, will it be this easy." it was. you were awesome, like you are with everything. you adjusted and asked for it the next day. we then told you that we gave them to all the new little babies and they were gone. on the morning of the 19th, daniel came into to get you out of bed and you said, "pacies are gone." like it was no big deal. thank you for being so amazing.
  • you absolutely love the song by carly rae jepsen "call me maybe." you sing the entire chorus and request to hear it again.
  • about two weeks after you quit the pacifier, we decided to get you your "big boy" bed. we didn't want to buy another crib for your sister.  so, against what all the "professionals" say about moving a child for another child to use the crib. we decided to just try it. not only did you get a new bed but we had to switch you to the bigger room. we had no idea how you would adjust. the first night, you actually did really well and every night after just got better.  you are so well adjusted. you always do better than what we would expect you to do. thank you buddy. now you absolutely love your bedroom and your soft bed.
  • how just all of a sudden you started flipping off the couch while watching gymnastics on the "lympics" (as you would call it). dan and i both were like holy cow! neither one of us had seen you do it before and you just acted like it was no big deal. so cool.
  • you say, "hmm, let me see" as you tap your finger on your mouth
  • you are such a little entertainer. you love to sing, dance and run around
  • you can't sit still
  • we read spot says good night every night and you can recite the entire book just by looking at the pictures
  • your favorite hat is your daddy's green bass pro shops hat. you wear it everywhere. it's funny because you have to tilt your head back to see anything. people always smile when they see you with it on.
