10 months.

beckett is officially a toddler. although he is only 10 months, he is so grown up!! this month has been so much fun. he has gone from sitting to crawling everywhere and into everything. he can pull up on anything and transfer from one thing to another and balance for a couple seconds, then slowly squat down. it is just a matter of time and he will be on the run. we have already put the baby gates up. while dan or i would shower, he was falling down, opening/closing drawers he shouldn't and smashing his fingers, pulling up on the toilet and shower curtain. it was getting to be a lot to handle. i can't believe i forgot all about the pack and play we had never even opened. so now, when one of us is showering and the other isn't able to watch him, he gets put on lock down in the pack and play. ha. he does pretty well for the first 15 minutes and then he doesn't really like it, but we know it is for his own good and safety. we are so looking forward to spring. dan and i have enjoyed the snow and getting to play, but we are so ready to play with beckett outside!! we have been taking him to the pool, it is getting warm enough outside. afterhis 9 month wellness check, we decided to have his blood drawn for a metabolic work up since he "isn't gaining weight" as quick as other nine month olds. it was extremely hard to watch and hold him as they drew the blood out of his right arm. they had a hard time finding a vein, but man was he a trooper. i, on the other hand, was sweating bullets and almost told them to stop several times. as soon as we got home, the phlebotomist called and said "we need him to come back to draw more blood, because the CDC test clotted before we could get the results." my stomach dropped and i didn't really want to do it again. she informed me we could just prick his heel and not draw from the arm again. i felt better about it, until we actually got there and she was doing it. let's just say it was more than just a prick and then she bled it for about 3 minutes after. that was harder on him than the actual draw. i felt so horrible, but i wanted to know if there was something wrong with any of his systems to keep him from gaining, but thankfully, NO! he is just a thin one!! so, we decided to check his weight at ten months.
Generally this is his schedule, give or take 30 minutes or so...it has basically stayed the same as last month, just different foods.

New Foods:
peanut butter, scrambled eggs, toast, blueberries (doesn't really like the whole ones), mixture of beets, bananas and blueberries (loves it, you just squeeze it out of packaging) click here to see the line of food we absolute LOVE!! it's eco-friendly packaging and it taste sooo good. i actually love it! although he has tried new varieties of foods this month, he has been teething and hasn't seemed to have a huge appetite. he will take a few bites of several different things and then be done. he's kind of been eating like a bird.
